BENEFITS OF VORTEX

True autonomy, with an energy efficiency of 100%, which means it requires no power, valves, or controllers, is one of the biggest advantages of the system as its materials respond instantly to temperature changes. VO₂, PCMs, and proteins switch emissivity and absorb heat automatically, delivering fully passive, on‑the‑spot thermal regulation.
Unlike fixed radiators, it can also handle transient thermal loads effectively through integrated phase change materials (PCMs) that buffer heat surges. Its response is more than 10⁶ times faster than mechanical systems. Its modular design makes it not only scalable from CubeSats to large spacecraft but also adaptable for both retrofitting and original integration.
It achieves significant mass and volume savings, with a total thickness of around 0.15-0.25 mm compared to the 20–50 mm required by traditional multilayer insulation (MLI) and radiator panels, which is a decrease of almost 99.5% in thickness. Combining everything, we have an overall efficiency of 77.2
